Oral History and Archives
I am currently working on two public history projects, both related to my dissertation research on Khao I Dang refugee camp and the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Since 2017, I have been coordinating an oral history project called "Recollecting Khao I Dang." Pending approval by narrators, a selection of interview transcripts produced in the course of my dissertation research will be donated to the Rutgers Oral History Archives as part of a dedicated Khao I Dang collection.
In mid-2020, I began collaborating with Cornell PhD student Brian Sengdala on a second project, "Bamboo City Archive," through which we seek to engage physical artifacts from Khao I Dang in order to facilitate intergenerational conversations about the history and memory of the camp.
